You work or are about to start employment in Germany and can be insured through the statutory health insurance system.
You need a first TK policy or a switch to Die Techniker from another statutory health insurer.
At this stage we do not accept applications from students, retirees, self-employed people, or benefit recipients through this form.

4. Address and contact

Which address should the health insurer use for postal mail? * The first letter usually arrives within 2-5 business days, and the full process up to receiving the card takes about 6-8 weeks. If you are not sure you can receive paper mail at a German address for the next 1.5-2 months, choose "Provide me with an address". In that case, letters will be sent by regular mail to our insurance agency address. We will scan them, forward them to your email with a short explanation, and later explain how to notify the insurer of your permanent address. We will then mail you the originals received for you. This is free for you.
